To make the app and services work properly, we sometimes need to store data entries on your device. These data entries are commonly referred to as Cookies but they can represent a broader range of persistent storage technologies.
This Cookie Policy describes the types of cookies and similar tracking technologies we use throughout our platform of services, websites and apps, how we use them, and what your choices are for controlling cookies.
1. What are Cookies?
A cookie is a small data entry that a website stores on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site. This is a small text file that is downloaded to your computer or device. The storage of data on your device is requested by a website via your web browser or mobile app when you visit a website or other online service.
These Cookies store information how you use an online service so that the service itself can:
- recognize your device
- provide functionality
- enhance your experience
- analyze your usage patterns
- personalize advertising
The "cookie" or "cookies" mentioned throughout this document refer to online tracking tools and technologies (e.g. Cookies, Local Storage, Local Data Storage or Tracking Beacons). Like cookies, they share the same purpose as described above.
If you want to stay informed about what these technologies and their purpose are, please visit www.allaboutcookies.org
First party cookies are cookies set by the website you are visiting or by the app you are using. Only that app or website can read them. Additionally, external services may set their own cookies, which are known as third-party cookies.
Cookies can be persistent which means that they are saved on your device between restarts, or temporary like a session cookie which is automatically deleted when you close your browser or app.

First party cookies allow us to provide the required functionality in order to deliver a functional service experience. These cookies allow you to use the account features and access protected areas. Some of these cookies allow us to help make the service work properly and analyze how people use it.
We also allow certain large third-party service providers to place third-party cookies in order to enable third-party features or functionalities or to assist in our analytics and marketing efforts.
A. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are the most essential ones for our service to function. They are essential for delivering a functional service experience such as accessing the member areas of the website and therefore, they do not require your consent.

This information helps us improve your experience by reducing the time for a visitor to get what they need from the website.
We use these cookies for internal research on how we can improve the service we provide for all of our users. These cookies are persistent and will generally remain stored on your device. You are free to refuse these types of cookies.
D. Advertising cookies

4. Third-party cookies
These cookies are completely set by third-parties when you interact with embedded content or widgets such as a "like" button. Often, our pages display content from external providers.

5. Duration of cookie storage
The length of time that cookies are stored on your device will vary, depending on whether the cookies are temporary or persistent.
Persistent cookies can remain on your device for different lengths of time, depending on their function. Their expiration times can range from several hours, days or even years into the future. These cookies survive after your browser is closed and can be used to recognize your device when you revisit our websites and apps.
6. Cookie management
When you are visiting the Quarters website for the first time, you will be asked to accept or customize your cookie preferences. There are a number of ways you can manage what cookies are set on your devices which are described below.
A. Managing cookies using the website
When the cookie consent pop-up appears, you will be asked to consent to the use of cookies and you can exert your rights regarding cookie usage. From the pop-up you are able to control which types of cookies are allowed to be stored on your computer.
If you click on the alternate button (e.g. "Customize" button), you can block the use of the following types of cookies:
- Performance cookies
- Advertising cookies
Your choices regarding cookies will be stored within one of the service's cookies (currently
named _cookuserprefs
, naming may change) cookie. We will be asking you to exert your
rights regarding cookie storage from time to time.
There is currently no mechanism of updating your current preferences from a widget or a webpage within the service. If you think you have made a wrong decision about cookies, you can usually remove all cookies set by our service using your browser (part B of this section). If you then refresh or revisit the website the pop-up cookie consent banner should be presented again.
B. Removing cookies from your device
You can delete all cookies that are already on your device by clearing the browsing history of your browser. This should remove all cookies from all websites you have visited. On some browsers and devices, if you click on the lock icon, a Cookie menu will appear and allow you to remove or block cookies by individual service providers.
Be aware that removing certain cookies using your browser settings, while leaving others in place may lead to unwanted service behaviour. It is recommended to clear all cookies at once from your browser.
C. Blocking cookies
Most browsers and platforms will allow you to configure the blocking options regarding each service's cookies and offer granular control. In some situations, you can configure your browser to notify you when a cookie is being received, so that you can decide whether to accept it or not.
These setting names, menus and descriptions vary between browser to browser, but they can usually be found in the help section of your browser or by pressing F1.
C. Disabling cookies
You can choose to block cookies altogether from your browser or platform settings.
Most modern browsers and platforms allow you to prevent any cookies being placed on your device, but you may then have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit a site/page.
Please note that if you have disabled one or more cookies, we may continue to use the information that was collected by such cookies before they were deactivated. However, we will cease to collect any new information via the opted-out cookie once a cookie has been deactivated.
